The firm's primary practice is the protection and preservation of the client's freedom, fortune, and employment rights.

CRIMINAL LAW: The firm has a successful practice in the defense of individuals charged with offenses involving sex crimes, drugs, or alcohol which may permanently affect  employment and educational opportunities. The vigorous defense of alcohol or drug related driving offenses is a specialty of the firm.

EMPLOYMENT LAW: William Morrison has over 25 years experience in employment and labor law and has successfully prosecuted complaints against major employers for wrongful discriminatory discharges and sexual harassment.

DRIVER'S LICENSE PROTECTION AND RESTORATION: New Michigan laws contain severe licensing penalties for any crime involving the use of a motor vehicle. These penalties often create more hardship than the punishment for the crime itself. The firm utilizes every defense and strategy necessary for you to keep or regain your license.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Charges for domestic assault have increased as more police departments adopt a mandatory arrest policy whenever officers are called to your home. Your spouse, child,  significant other, or even a neighbor only has to dial 911 and police will respond to your address and take one of you away. Convictions for domestic violence can make you unemployable. The firm has a high success rate in resolving domestic assault charges without convictions.

SEX OFFENSES: Many first time defendants receive probation with little or no jail time when convicted of relatively mild  statutory offenses. The real penalty is having to register as a sex offender for 25 years. Employers and the general public have easy access to the registration list. The firm uses every resource at its disposal to keep you out of jail and your name off the list.

DRUG OFFENSES/FORFEITURES: Stronger enforcement of laws against the sale/possession of drugs has led to overcrowded jails and prisons. More sentences are mandatory and forfeiture of homes and vehicles have increased. In some Michigan counties, if your teenager is caught with more than a small amount for personal use, he/she can be charged as a drug dealer and you could face forfeiture of your real and personal property. Contact an attorney as soon as you are aware that an investigation has begun.  This office regularly defends against drug charges for the client's benefit.

A strong attorney-client relationship is the first step towards achieving a successful result. A relationship built on trust is a strong backbone to any legal case. Each facet of your case is formulated around your needs and desires in order to get you the outcome you deserve.
